Holistic body care and support
OloOk's classes combine precise, gentle and deep movement training that supports the body's long-term well-being. We offer Pilates, Spiral Stabilization and Reformer Pilates classes in seasonal small groups and private lessons.
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a calm but highly effective body management technique that develops muscle strength, mobility and body awareness. It was created by Joseph Pilates (1883-1967) and aims to train the body to function appropriately - in everyday life, in exercise and in activities such as playing a musical instrument.
The training is based on six principles: accuracy, concentration, centre, control, flow and breathing. The movements are performed in a calm and concentrated manner on the floor or standing, often with the use of assistive devices (e.g. roller, ball, ring). With practice, body awareness increases, posture improves and the mind-body connection becomes clearer. When the body is functioning optimally, it no longer needs to be controlled - it works naturally and effortlessly.
What is Spiral Stabilization?
Spiral Stabilization (SPS) is a body control and exercise method based on the body's natural spiral pathways and the balanced action of the muscle chains. It was developed by Czech doctor Richard Smišek and aims to restore optimal posture, muscle balance and functionality to the body.
Exercises are performed standing with a light resistance band. The movements strengthen the spiral chains of the body and release overly strained muscles - especially in the back, hips and midsection. The method supports back health and is suitable for both rehabilitation and active users. SPS improves alignment, balance, coordination and breathing in a holistic way.
Pilates & Spiral Stabilization - Combination Classes
Combination classes blend the best of Pilates and Spiral Stabilization into a mutually supportive whole. SPS exercises release overworked muscles and restore the body's natural range of motion, while Pilates strengthens the core, increases control and deepens body awareness.
The classes can also make use of resistance exercises familiar from equipment training and small equipment such as rubber bands, balls and rollers. The training takes place in a small group of up to nine people, which allows for individual guidance and personalised feedback for each participant. The combined effect of the methods improves mobility, balance and body support from the inside out.
Reformer pilates
Reformer Pilates is practiced on special Pilates equipment, such as the Reformer and Chair, which provide both support and resistance to the movements. The equipment helps to keep the movement precise, safe and effective - helping you find the right alignments and activating the deep core muscles of the body.
The class is suitable for all levels of exercisers, but especially for those who need more individualised guidance or have special training needs. The workout takes place in a small group (max. 6 people) in a rotation, where everyone does the exercises at their own pace. This gives you plenty of personal feedback and allows you to progress in a way that is right for your body.
Instructor Henna Korhonen
"I was introduced to pilates during my dance teacher training in 2004, when a stress injury prevented me from practising dance. Pilates helped me get back into movement - and with it I fell in love with the anatomy, calmness and precision of the sport. Later, I discovered Spiral Stabilization, which complemented my Pilates instruction: the method brought an understanding of the body's muscle groups and how they work in balance. It took my understanding of movement, movement and body function to a whole new level.
My guidance is based on the best of both methods. My goal is to help everyone find the optimal way to move their own body - safely, consciously and gently. In my classes, the focus is on precise and individualised guidance, a calm atmosphere and the joy of movement. Movement done well is the real medicine!"
Seasonal groups: continuity, development and community
All Pilates, SPS and Reformer Pilates classes are held in seasonal small groups. When you sign up, you commit to the same standard group for the whole season (15 sessions), which supports continuity and development.
The groups are small:
Pilates & SPS, max. 9 participants
Reformer Pilates, max. 6 participants.
Seasonal groups allow:
Consistent progress
More personalised guidance
A peaceful and safe atmosphere
Community support and motivation
Sustainable long-term results
You can also get guidance in English and French during the reformer pilates classes.
The 2026 spring season starts on Wednesday 7 January.
You can find the schedule of the spring season groups in the image below.
Enrolment for seasonal groups takes place in Vello, where only the first classes of the season are shown. By booking a place for the first class, you participate for the whole season (15 classes).
If you can't make it to the first weekly class but want to sign up for a seasonal group, please contact us by email info@olook.fi and we'll get your registration in order!
You can make up absences for other weekly classes (excluding reformer pilates, workshops and intensive courses) as long as you cancel at least 24 hours before the class.
If you've mastered the basics, you can also join the group in the middle of the season. In this case, you only pay for the remaining times.
NOTE: Registration for the seasonal group is binding. You can find the exact cancellation conditions under the Registration section.
Private lessons and small group training
A private lesson offers a calm and personalized moment to develop your skills, deepen your training or get support in specific situations such as rehabilitation, pregnancy or after a long break. The class is also ideal for you if you want to focus on your own body or work on a specific challenge or goal in a one-to-one session.
The workout is always individually designed according to your goals and needs, and can be combined with Pilates and Spiral Stabilization exercises.
Private lessons can be booked by phone or email. You can also book a private lesson with a friend or a small group. Lessons are also available in English and French.
